My philosophy evolves slightly with every experience. So to write a philosophical dissertation about how I see the world would be silly as it will become outdated the moment I hit the save button. Alternatively I thought it would simply be more fun and insightful to share some of my favorite quotes, thoughts, phrases, excerpts, passages, taglines and blurbs that I find useful, thought provoking or just plain amusing. Most are from individuals much wiser than I, some are of my own creation and others are just bits that caught my attention.
I will prepare and someday my chance will come.

Research should be defined as doing something where half of the people think that’s impossible. And half of them think ...eehhhh, maybe that will work. Whenever there’s a breakthrough, a true breakthrough, you can go back and find a time period when the consensus was, well that’s nonsense. So what that means is that a true creative researcher must have confidence in nonsense.

I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that crates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.
