design

Ever since I was a kid drawing in my Grandpa’s makeshift art studio in the garage, I’ve always enjoyed designing things and working with still images. When I was 13 I would design sailboats and take the bus to visit to the local boat designer to see if he’d review my drawings. I was fortunate to have support everywhere I went in this regard and I eventually ended up with a bachelor’s degree in design. I continued into a profession that deals primarily with moving images so I never actually became a “designer” but I’ve continued to spend a portion of my time crafting presentations, titles and logos (I love typography), playing with photoshop and taking pictures. I eventually even went 3D and designed and built my own desk that I’ve worked at over the past 12 years. For the most part, my design projects have been for my company and for pleasure rather than as a direct way to generate revenue…perhaps that’s why I continue to enjoy the process. These are just a few of my favorite creations.
